Kingdom over Culture

I was inspired by God to deliver this very important message to you today:

Deep Calls to Deep

The Bible tells us in Psalm 42 that deep calls to deep, so in today’s message, we’re going deep!

Deep calls to deep
    at the roar of your waterfalls;
all your breakers and your waves
    have gone over me.

Psalm 42:7

We are in the time the prophets of old foretold us about, where God would be separating the wheat from the tares. In this time, God is asking us all the same question, “Are you for me or against me?

As Christians, we don’t serve the culture, we serve God as Kingdom ambassadors.

Carnal Christianity

Are you a carnal Christian? Or do you see and interpret things spiritually as given by the Holy Spirit?

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:14-16

The truth we can take from this passage is that the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. So how do you know if you’re carnal? Here’s one way:

  1. Do you value feelings or the opinions of man above God’s word?

Even Jesus rebuked Peter for choosing his feelings over God’s will! Don’t allow your feelings to become your stumbling block.

The people that God chooses to use for the accomplishment of His own will is personal and intentional. Don’t be offended by the delivery of a prophet if what they are saying is TRUE. Your offense to the word given proves that you have a carnal mindset.

The Scoffers: Mocking Jesus

We’re in the time of the scoffers (mockers) because we’re in the final hour before Jesus’s coming; that’s why you see so much mockery of Jesus and the Bible in the media (the culture). PAY ATTENTION TO IT!!! It’s a fulfillment of prophecy (not to be ignored).

This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.

2 Peter 3:1-3

God is getting His people prepared for Jesus’s 2nd coming.

Revelation from the Old Testament has been revealed through God’s apostles and prophets. If you have the spirit of God (Holy Spirit), then you have access to revelation from God (if you seek it out). God’s enemy is a carnal mindset. God can’t put “new wine into old wine skins”:

Neither is new wine put into old wineskins. If it is, the skins burst and the wine is spilled and the skins are destroyed. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.”

Matthew 9:17

Wineskins represent our minds/hearts, the wine represents God’s anointing (His revelation). You need your mind to be renewed by God in order to receive the truth and clarity that comes from revelation. As a true born-again Christian, you should be transformed by the renewing of your mind; you shouldn’t be staying the same!

Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
    nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

Psalm 1:1-2

What Salvation Really Looks Like

So how do you know if you’re really walking with Jesus, or if you’re walking with the culture? It will be shown through your fruit:

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Galatians 5:19-24

You know you are truly saved if you have been given the Holy Spirit (as a seal of the promise) and you walk out your salvation, bearing fruits of the Holy Spirit:

these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.

1 Corinthians 2:10-12

Satan’s Plan: Delusion

The beautiful thing about Jesus is that he brings us out of the darkness and into the light:

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:9

The book of revelation is an important book in time right now because we are living in the events prophesied about.

You will either find yourself in the light of God’s glory (revelation; revealed truth from God), or in darkness (blinded to the truth). Do you serve the God of the Bible or the god of this world (satan)?

In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

2 Corinthians 4:4

Judgment & Grace

There is grace in the judgment of God because even God gives us an opportunity to repent.

If after receiving the truth of this word you find yourself living for the culture and not for God, you can REPENT.

He will render to each one according to his works:

Romans 2:6

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

2 Corinthians 5:10

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.

Revelation 20:12

Each man will be paid for what he has done! Repent, forgive, turn away from a carnal mindset, and get right with God.

For what is coming to this country (U.S.), you NEED to be prepared. Some will not make it do to a carnal mind that has not been given over to God through a spiritual circumcision:

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stubborn.

Deuteronomy 10:16

Pride comes before the fall.

The KING IS COMING, and God is using the sound of the trumpets (his prophets) to warn you! Wake Up and Get READY.
