I received a troubling Instagram message today from a young girl who asked me if angel numbers were from God.

This is not the first time I have heard of this practice and ideology, and it led me here – to give you this important message.

Angel numbers, the evil eye, and burning sage are NOT from God.

They are indeed practices of witchcraft and idolatry, dated back thousands of years ago, and practiced by other cultures around the world who do not serve God (the God of the Bible).

In this message, there are a few things I want to point out for you in Scripture and warn you about.

If you are a Christian, what you believe should be backed by and supported by God’s word in scripture

Too often, I find that we as a people look to sources outside of God for wisdom. Here’s a great scripture that points to this truth,

“Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom,” – 1 Corinthians 1:22

In this context, Paul (a disciple of Jesus Christ), writes to his church in Corinth about their practices of division and idolatry. Paul lived in a time where people practiced idolatry and witchcraft unaware, and he gives strict warnings against such things and against the human desire to seek out signs, wonders, and wisdom outside of God (the God of the Bible).

We too must receive these strict words of instruction (for the saving of our lives).

In the book of Matthew, Jesus warns his disciples of the time to come,

“And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.”

You see, when lawlessness increases (wars, rumors of wars, violence, destruction of every kind), people’s hearts will grow cold because there is a connection in our minds as people to the conditions of this world and our ideas of God.

We tend to assume that if God is real, then there should be peace on earth, when in actuality, it is because God is real that there is peace with God found in Jesus Christ.

In the beginning of humankinds’ time (found in the book of Genesis), God gave humankind authority and dominion on earth. This meant that humans would have the right to make decisions that would affect culture and the world around them.

We cannot expect God to leave us to make our own decisions, and then expect God to take that right away. Meaning: If God gave man “free will,” it is because of this freedom that lawlessness increases – not because God is not good.

We must stop blaming God for “bad things” happening, and instead realize the good that God is doing in the midst of bad things happening…

Why Angel Numbers are Not from God

The reason why angel numbers are not from God and are indeed demonic is because there is nowhere in scripture that points to this ideology or belief as true. Instead, what you will find in scripture is that God created angels to be his messengers of truth.

“Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming in, he said to her, ‘Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.’” – Luke 1:26-38

As we see here in this scripture, an angel was sent by God to deliver a message to a human being about what God said.

God has given us the Bible (his truth), and his Holy Spirit to help guide us into knowing all truth – the truth (Jesus).

Anything or anyone that comes to deliver a message to you about God that is not backed by, or rooted in scripture, is a lie, and therefore – is of demonic influence.

This is why as believers (Christians), it is important for us to read our Bibles (with guidance from the Holy Spirit). This is very important.

You need to know what God’s word says, and you need to have a spiritual understanding of what God’s word says.

Angel numbers are produced by the devil.

If you remember in scripture, Satan is a fallen angel, and the rest of the angels who rebelled with him, fell too.

Angel numbers are “Fallen Angel Numbers”, used by Satan as a way to distract and misguide you. DON’T LET HIS WAYS PREVAIL AGAINST YOU!

Stand up in the knowledge and in the power of knowing God’s word and in knowing that God’s word is TRUE.

“And He said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.’” – Luke 10:18

Why the Evil Eye is Not from God

In many cultures, the evil eye is believed to be a curse, put on someone unaware.

In New Age practices here in the US, many believe that the symbol of the evil eye wards off demons and unclean spirits, when in reality, all it does is warn others that you practice witchcraft!

New Age practices, beliefs, and ideologies are practices of witchcraft -idolatrous practices taught to people unaware.

There are many testimonies of people who have been delivered from New Age practices that you can find online (YouTube).

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you should not be practicing in these demonic rituals. What you are doing is giving the enemy (the devil) access to your life, your family, and your ministry.

DO NOT PRACTICE THEM!

Why Burning Sage is Not from God

Any “thing” or “practice” that takes the place of what God does (or who God is) is a practice NOT sent from God.

God will never cause you to believe in something (or someone) who has higher authority than Him.

To believe that burning a plant/herb (or burning anything for that matter) has the power to ward off evil spirits is demonic.

Why would God have you to believe that anyone or anything other than Him can protect you?

“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:3

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46:1

And the list goes on…

There are so many scriptures found in God’s word that back the belief that GOD is the only one who will protect you from evil – not New Age practices, false doctrine, or witchcraft.

Practicing in anything outside of God’s word, God’s will, or God’s way is rebellion – and therefore witchcraft.

“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He also has rejected you from being king.” – 1 Samuel 15:23
